So this thought popped in my head today after work. Why is the world making a big deal about Embassies being set up in Jerusalem? First the U.S., then Guatemala, then Honduras and next on the list is Romania. What is the significance of the 10 kings in Revelation 17? If Jerusalem is the harlot that rides the beast (like I think scripture tells us), you will see that the beast carries her. This word bastazontos (βαστάζοντος) means to bear or carry off. The beast with 7 heads and 10 horns carries her away. The harlot or Jerusalem is directly connected to these 10 kings who recieve power as kings for an hour but at that the time they didn’t bhave a kingdom. How can a king not have a kingdom but then recieve power as kings? Are they really kings in the sense of kings as we know them to be? Then you see they hate the harlot and essentially destroy her.
Did you know ambassadors are the spokesman for the President of their respective country? They are the first person who speaks on matters when they are in another country. They act as a representive and mouthpiece for the President or king exclusively. And with that said, we too are ambassadors…for Jesus Christ.
2nd Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
So let me ask again. What is the significance of these embassies being in Jerusalem? I’m not saying that this is where the 10 kings come into play but it is an interesting thought. Is this a set up for something to come?
7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. 18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
