5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny (dēnariou, δηναρίου), and three measures of barley for a penny (dēnariou, δηναρίου); and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
“The English word “dinar” is the transliteration of the Arabic دينار (dīnār), which was borrowed via the Syriac dīnarā from the Greek δηνάριον (denárion), itself from the Latin dēnārius. The gold dinar was an early Islamic coin corresponding to the Byzantine denarius auri. A gold coin known as the dīnāra was also introduced to India by the Kushan Empire in the 1st century AD, and adopted by the Gupta Empire and its successors up to the 6th century. The modern gold dinar is a modern bullion gold coin.” (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinar)
The black horse of the third seal represents famine. The scales in his hand represent a yoke that was used for oxen to weigh this judgement. “Scales or balances are the emblems of justice or equity (compare Job 31:6; Psa 62:9; Pro 11:1; Pro 16:11 (refs4)); and when joined with symbols that denote the sale of grain and fruit by weight, become the symbol of scarcity. Thus, “bread by weight” Lev 26:26 denotes scarcity. So in Eze 4:16, “And they shall eat bread by weight.” The use of balances here as a symbol would signify that something was to be accurately and carefully weighed out.” (Albert Barnes Notes in Rev 6:6).
The payment of the dinar was a days wages. This verse may indicate the scarcity of food on these last days, a heavy tax and/or inflation. To sum it up. A days wages for a little bit of food. Now look at the pictures below. What country still uses the Dinar in this modern era that is literally Israel’s next door neighbor?
Now I understand that the dinar was the currency at the time of John writing this, but notice he used a Arabic form of currency and not a Roman form of currency that brings about this famine. I am not saying that the modern E-Dinar cryptocurrency or the old school Dinar that is used today is the currency that will cause this last days famine (this could all be symbolic). What I do want you to see is where this modern Dinar is used and its turned into a cryptocurrency. Watch this short video of the E-Dinar.
Look at the E-Dinar again. Do you see the dragon on this coin?
Now did you pay attention to what he said on the video? Here are some screenshots from the video. I have the pictures backwards from how the video shows them but you can see the transition. I did this to show you where this type of currency is headed.
This kind of currency is explained below.
